Toyota, Panasonic form joint venture in Home for Japan

Electronics manufacturer Panasonic and japanese automaker Toyota are forming a joint venture combining their housing companies in Japan.

Toyota Motor Corp., which offers housing as well as automobiles in Japan, ” said that the new firm will offer houses showcasing technology such as connected cars and the internet of things.

Panasonic Corp. stated its home subsidiary will become a part of this joint venture. The companies said the deal will probably be completed by January 2020.

Both sides said communities will increasingly want vehicles , autonomous driving, car-sharing and cars.

Toyota and Panasonic announced a joint venture to research, manufacture and sell batteries for autos amid worries regarding global warming.

The companies have been studying working on batteries since 2017.
